This sparsely populated area is home to the town of Savannah, where you’ll find a castle that is the island’s oldest structure. Rumor has it that pirates built this fortress over two centuries ago. Nearby George Town offers premier shopping with boutiques featuring Gucci, Fendi and other exclusive labels.

Why not try Portofino’s, just a 5 minute drive from The Reef, specializing in Italian cuisine. For Caribbean flavor, head to Over the Edge where you will find fresh fish and a distinctly Cayman vibe.

Drive a little further and you will reach the Rum Point Restaurant, with delightful Caribbean décor and modern cuisine. Just along the road from Rum Point, visit the Kaibo Yacht Club for a relaxed beach bar atmosphere and casual fare to match.

If you are looking for something a bit special, head towards Seven Mile Beach where you will find gourmet delights from the likes of The Wharf, Lucca or Calypso Grill. If driving into Georgetown seems too far, sample the menu at The Lighthouse, specializing in fresh seafood and Italian cuisine.

Grand Cayman Attractions

The Reef is the nearest resort to Grand Cayman’s Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park, a fascinating destination where visitors can stroll the grounds amongst hundreds of tropical and subtropical plants. Wildlife thrives here as well, including the endangered Grand Cayman blue iguana and a complement of native birds.
